When your brain doesn’t
Hold onto reality like it should
Peace is not something you know
Voices telling you things that can’t be true
Darkness is a crushing thing
Here to suffocate you
Ocean calls to you in ways that scare you
And people
People want to hurt you
They don’t listen to you
So you avoid them
But sometimes I believe this changes
When you find someone you love
Love more than anything before
So you ignore your reality and try
To find the peace in theirs
And it comes
A peace in that love that you can’t explain
That you don’t understand
But you want to have forever
